Nickie and Ian have been Co-Directing Chorus Iceni since early in 2012 and have many years of Barbershop experience to call upon.

Nickie is a Presentation Judge and the current Presentation Category Director within LABBS.  Nickie has competed in the UK and Internationally many times with great success.

Ian sings with the Cambridge Chord Company where he is responsible for most of the performance 'moves'.  Ian has sung tenor with many competing BABS quartets and has finished in the UK top three no less than 6 times; 2 Bronze, 2 Silver and most especially, two Gold medals with 'Cambridge Blues' in 1997 and 'Crossfire' in 2011.  Ian has competed Internationally both in Europe and at the Barbershop Harmony Society's International convention several times, both in Chorus and Quartet.

Together, Nickie and Ian form a strong and entertaining partnership both within the barbershop world and outside of it - not that there is much free time to share.

Ian and Nickie are unbelievably blessed to have the superb talents of their wonderful (and very patient) Deputy Musical Director, Maxine Udale, to call upon when things get super busy.   Maxine was MD at Chorus Iceni (pka 'Colne Harmony') for over eleven years and, under her leadership, the chorus improved its standing in each competition it entered.  In addition to her role as 'Deputy', Max has taken on the role of bass section leader.
