Who are the members of Chorus Iceni?
Chorus Iceni is made up of women from all walks of life, ages and backgrounds, though all with one common interest; making music and having fun!
Samantha, Bass
Occupation: Teacher Family: Husband and 3 boys Part: Bass Membership: Chorus Iceni member for 5 years and counting... Previous musical experience: A little; played clarinet and guitar many years ago so can just about remember how to read music. I also sang in any choir I could while at school, chamber choir, main choir and backing singing for productions. Reason for joining: Love to sing but this had been put on the back burner whilst working full time and looking after our family. It was time to do something for me! Chorus Iceni were so welcoming and supportive of new members that I immediately felt I had found what I was looking for. It is also a breath of fresh air to spend an evening in female company after my rather male dominated household! Highlights: Performing at Convention each year and various concerts/fundraisers. Inspiring coaches that share their expertise and knowledge. |
Katherine, Baritone
Katherine joined Chorus Iceni in January 2016. She has always loved singing but hadn't been part of a choir since university. She says that joining Chorus Iceni has been a fantastic experience, she has met some amazingly talented ladies and has had the chance to perform in some wonderful concerts. She loved taking part in her first Convention in Harrogate last year and can't wait to go to Bournemouth with the Chorus in October for the European Barbershop Convention. |
